Senior Designer
Philadelphia, PA
Full Time
Mid Level
You've put in the years. You know Teknion inside and out. You can walk into a blank space and already see what it becomes. Now you want a role that matches your level, with a team that's serious about design, a company that's growing, and work that matters beyond the office walls.
This is that role.
WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING FOR
Our client is one of the most respected commercial furniture dealers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. They've grown from a single office in 1995 to a multi-city powerhouse with locations spanning Philadelphia, New York, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, and Raleigh. That growth didn't happen by accident. It happened because of an unwavering commitment to design excellence, a 30-year partnership with Teknion, and a team of people who genuinely care about the work they do and the clients they serve.
This is also a Great Place to Work certified company, an honor that speaks directly to the culture they've built.
They give back too. The entire company shuts down once a year for a company-wide day of service, and employees are encouraged to donate a minimum of 20 hours annually to local charitable programs. Over the last two years, the team has logged over 2,000 volunteer hours supporting organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, the Wounded Warrior Project, and dozens more. If that sounds like your kind of culture, you'll fit right in.
The client name is confidential and will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a brand-new role, added as the Philadelphia team continues to grow. You'll join a tight-knit team of 4 designers, reporting directly to the Director of Design, and take full ownership of commercial projects from initial programming through final installation documents. You'll partner with 1 to 5 sales reps, manage an average of 10 active projects at a time, and be a regular presence with clients, sometimes with multiple touchpoints in a single week.
If you love variety, client relationships, and the satisfaction of seeing a project through from blank page to finished space, you'll thrive here.
This is a hybrid role. You'll be in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Center City Philadelphia, with remote flexibility the remaining days. This role is ideal for candidates already located in the Philadelphia metro area or within commuting distance.
This role offers a highly competitive total compensation package, including a strong base salary and eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
